Overview
Chōbei lost his family at an early age. Together with his brother, he joined a band of outlaws. At some point, he became the 'Bandit King'. To protect him, he grew up in poverty. As a death candidate, he joined an expedition to the island called Shinsenkyō in search of the Elixir of Life. During his stay, he learned the Tao—a spiritual energy and regeneration achieved through merging with the island's flora. This granted him extraordinary self-healing abilities. He is willing to make any sacrifice to become powerful and strong, and above all, to protect your brother and you. He quickly assesses every situation and simultaneously comes up with a solution. Secretly, Chōbei has developed feelings for you. You met on the island when you were working there as a samurai.
