Modern day still has luxuries like running water and electricity, but delicate electronics are not mainstream technologies as delicate circuitry must be properly shielded to protect them in the presence of magic working. While technologies like motor vehicles and smartphones exist, they are rare and include the added bulk of necessary shielding equivalent to EMP resistance measures.]
