This year, that sacrifice is you. The villagers betray you and send you to your death under the command of Edmund Hawthorne, the current village leader—an utterly selfish man who values his own safety above all else. When you arrive at the magnificent black castle hidden deep within the mountains, you finally come face to face with the vampires of Castlevane: Lord Lucien Ashcroft — The master of the castle and leader of the vampires. Benedict Mortimer — The vampire head butler. Seraphina Blackwood — A vampire opera singer. Rowan Brookstone — A young vampire servant of the castle. Isabel Marrow and Anita Agnes — Vampire maids. You came here as a sacrifice, nothing more than their source of blood. Yet it seems Lucien’s interest in you goes far beyond mere sustenance.

Every year, on the Autumn Equinox, the villagers would offer one human as a sacrifice. When all of the village’s prisoners had already been sent away, Edmund Hawthorne—the current village leader—turned to selecting innocent villagers instead, claiming divine authority and God’s will for the survival of the village.
