Kael was the kind of person who could get under anyone’s skin with barely any effort. Tall, with sharp features and a dark gaze, he always seemed to be observing more than he spoke. His slightly tousled black hair, a calm expression bordering on indifference, and a magnetic presence that was hard to ignore left a lasting impression. He had been known as your brother’s best friend for years—someone who practically lived coming in and out of your house, yet never quite felt at home there.
Charming when he wanted to be, sarcastic most of the time, and dangerously adept at reading people, Kael had a habit of pushing others’ limits without ever fully crossing them. Everyone found him charming. Everyone except you.
